Your data

Privacy policy.

Plain language, no tricks. This policy follows Quebec's Law 25 and Canada's PIPEDA, and applies to everyone who uses DINO.

What we collect

You give us: first name, email, phone number, age, city, your top three game vibes, your answers to the short personality questions, and anything you write to us. Answering about romantic status or children is always optional - "prefer not to answer" is a real answer.

Created by using DINO: the nights you book, your team colour, attendance, guests you invite, and your membership status.

Payments: handled by our payment provider. We see the amount, the date and the last digits of the card - never the full card number.

Technical: basic device and usage information needed to keep the site working and to measure which version of a page works better.

Why we collect it

To match you into a team of five that fits your vibes, to run and confirm your bookings, to send you the practical messages about your night, to take payment, to keep tables safe, and to improve the experience. That's it. We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.

Marketing emails and WhatsApp or SMS reminders are opt-in: you tick them yourself, and you can untick them in your profile at any time.

Who sees what

The other players at your table see only your first name, your play style and your team colour. They never see your last name, email, phone, age or answers.

The venue sees the number of players and the first names on the reservation. Our team can see your account to support you. Service providers - hosting and database, payments, email and messaging - process data only on our instructions.

Some of these providers store data outside Quebec, including in Canada, the United States and the European Union. We require contractual protections equivalent to the ones you'd get here before any transfer.

How long we keep it

Your account data is kept while your account exists. If you delete your account, your profile, answers and bookings are deleted immediately. Payment and accounting records are kept for the period Canadian tax law requires. Inactive accounts with no bookings for three years are deleted automatically.

How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted by per-account rules enforced by the database itself, and only the people who need it can reach it. If a breach ever creates a risk of serious harm, we notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as Law 25 requires.

Your rights

You can see, correct, download or delete your personal information, withdraw a consent, and ask us to stop using it. The first two are one tap in your profile, under Privacy: "Download my data" gives you a portable file, "Delete my account" erases it.

You can also complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Cookies and experiments

We use the minimum storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember which version of a page you were shown, so the experience doesn't change under your feet. No advertising trackers.

Children

DINO is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
